A Canadian astronaut is heading to the International Space Station (ISS) in September. Joshua Kutryk and three other astronauts will spend six months aboard the space station.

Dream job 

Mr. Kutryk grew up on a farm in Alberta. As a child, he dreamed of being an astronaut. Feeding cattle on winter nights, he’d gaze up at the stars in wonder.

He learned to fly in his teens. When he grew up, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and became a fighter pilot. Then, in 2008, the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) put out a call for astronauts.
