The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games are over. It was an action-packed 16 days. Team Canada earned 21 medals – five gold, seven silver, and nine bronze.    

About 30 million Canadians watched and cheered from home. 

A one-two punch

Hockey grabbed the most viewers. Both the women’s team and the men’s team fought the U.S. for the gold medal. Both games went into overtime.

Our teams played their hearts out. But they had to settle for silver.
