One in five people around the world is celebrating their biggest holiday of the year. China calls it the Spring Festival. In Vietnam, it’s called Tet. Koreans call it Seollal.

They are all names for the Lunar New Year.

This 15-day festival is celebrated in many East and Southeast Asian countries. Asian communities in Canada and around the world celebrate, too. It is an official holiday in Canada.
