Four Ontario students got a big thrill last spring. The code they wrote was used on the International Space Station (ISS).

The Astro Pi Challenge

The team of 11 and 12-year-olds entered the Astro Pi Challenge. It’s an annual science and coding contest that asks students to solve a coding problem. It’s run by the European Space Agency (ESA). Young people up to 19 can enter.

The contest has two levels. Mission Zero is for beginners. Mission Space Lab is more advanced.
