Once a month, medical students from McMaster University visit a Waterloo retirement home. The seniors line up to see them. Not to receive medical care. For beauty care – and a chat.
Pamper me, please!
The students belong to GlamourGals. It’s a service group that sends student volunteers to retirement homes. The students give the seniors free makeovers. They file and polish nails. But what they really provide is a little company and attention.
The chapter was started by Harleen Chahal. It’s the first chapter at a Canadian medical school.
