Last month, First Nation, Métis, and Inuit elders held a big event in Edmonton. It was the first-ever National Gathering of Elders.

What is an elder?

Elders preserve an Indigenous community’s culture and traditions. Some have special skills and talents.

How to Subscribe

Currents4Kids is published 38 times per year (once per week except over Christmas and Spring Break) from mid-August until mid-June.

A subscription costs $190 and may be used by all teachers and students within one school.
