Every August, in Witless Bay, Newfoundland, people go hunting. They prowl around at night with nets and flashlights. They’re not planning to kill any animals. They’re rescuing baby puffins.

The Puffin Patrol scoops up all the young pufflings they can find. And in the morning, they let them all go.

Currents4Kids is published 38 times per year (once per week except over Christmas and Spring Break) from mid-August until mid-June.

A subscription costs $198 and may be used by all teachers and students within one school.
